(247NEWSSOURCE) Boston, MA – The Celtics held on for a 119-116 win over the Bucks at TD Garden.
Jaylen Brown led the C’s in scoring with 26 points and also dished out a team-high eight assists. Jayson Tatum recorded a double-double after scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 boards.
Jrue Holiday managed to score five points to go along with a block and a steal against his former team. Boston is now leading the Atlantic Division at 12-and-3.
Bucks coach Adrian Griffin said his team lacked toughness early on.
Brook Lopez led all scorers with 28 points for the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo chipped in with 21 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double.
Despite the loss, Griffin said his team shouldn’t hang their heads.
Milwaukee is now leading the Central Division at 10-and-5.
