Three Facts & A Fib – Mon. 10/30: Bill Nye’s Mom / What That “Fresh-Cut Grass” Smell Means / Official U.S. Presidential Yacht

Three of the following are FACTS…one is a FIB (scroll down to find out which one!)

1.  Bill Nye the Science Guy’s mom worked as a baker for the U.S. Navy during World War Two.

2.  The smell of fresh-cut grass is a distress signal. The grass is releasing a chemical that makes that smell to try to save itself from the mortal wound you just dealt to it.

3.  There was an official U.S. presidential yacht until Jimmy Carter got rid of it in 1977.

4. There’s a regulation in Connecticut that says a pickle has to be able to BOUNCE to be legally classified as a pickle.
