This is cool…Five flamingos made a surprising appearance in Port Washington. This marked the first sighting of the species in the state’s history. The flamingos were seen wading along a Lake Michigan beach, far from their usual tropical setting. The birds, three adults with pink plumage and two gray juveniles, stood about 25 feet off the lake’s shoreline.
