Oh no-no Brewers!

The Milwaukee Brewers lost a crazy game to the New York Yankees Sunday afternoon.   After two dominating offensive nights, 8-2 and 9-2 victories at Yankee stadium, it was a hard to believe pitching duel in the finale.   The Brewers no hit New York for 10 innings and still wound up losing 4-3 in 13 innings.   Corbin Burnes pitched 8 no hit innings, walking only two while striking out 7.  Devin Williams didn’t allow a knock in the 9th and Abner Uribe had a clean 10th inning but Gerritt Cole and the Yankee bullpen was equal to the task, keeping the Brewers off the scoreboard allowing only three hits combined.    In the top of the 11th, Tyrone Taylor finally broke through with an RBI single for the 1-0 lead.   In the bottom half, Oswald Cabrera finally broke up the no hitter with an RBI single off Joel Payamps to tie the game.    Milwaukee plated two runs in the 12th, on a Joey Wiemer double and an Andruw Monasterio sacrifice fly.   They couldn’t hold the 3-1 lead however as Giancarlo Stanton hit a game tying two run blast off Andrew Chafin.   New York got through the top of the 13th and then Kyle Higashioka drove one to the left field wall for the walk-off hit, only the third of the game for the Yankees.    The Brewers stand 79-63 and after the Chicago Cubs avoided a sweep by beating Arizona Sunday 5-2, are within three games of Milwaukee in the NL Central race with 20 games to play.   The Crew is back at American Family Field to host the Miami Marlins Monday night.   The Marlins beat Philadelphia 5-4 and are only a half game out of the final wild card spot.  Brandon Woodruff will face Jesus Luzardo in the series opener.  Pre-game coverage begins at 6:05 PM with a 6:40 PM first pitch on WTAQ.
