GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The two people killed in a high-speed crash Friday have been identified as Trevor Hermon and Luis Rios-Alvarado. The driver suspected of causing the crash, Kelton Snulligan, could appear in court on Wednesday.
The two-vehicle crash happened at 11:41 p.m. Friday on S. Webster Avenue in Allouez, in front of the Kwik Trip convenience store. A northbound Mercedes struck a Toyota, which was turning east onto Allouez Avenue.
In an update provided Tuesday by the Brown County Sheriff’s Dept., Snulligan is identified as the driver of the Mercedes. Speed and alcohol are considered factors in the crash, although no speed estimate or alcohol level were provided. Snulligan is still hospitalized. Charges have not been filed.
There were four other people in the vehicle Snulligan was driving, including the car’s owner. One of the passengers, Hermon, was killed, and the other three were injured.
The only occupant of the Toyota — the driver, Rios-Alvarado — was killed. An online fundraiser has been established to help pay for his funeral expenses.
