1. A local ordinance in Quitman, Georgia prohibits chickens from crossing the road. (It’s part of the language about not allowing “domestic fowl” to run at large throughout the town.)
2. The highest-grossing movie ever about twins is . . . “Twins”. It made $111 million back in 1988.
3. Peter Cetera wrote the song “Glory of Love” for “The Breakfast Club”, but the studio decided not to use it . . . so it became the theme song for “The Karate Kid, Part 2”. It hit number one on the Billboard charts and got an Oscar nomination.
4. The U.S. Senate has a tradition since 1968 called the “Candy Desk” . . . where the senator who sits in a specific seat near the door keeps a desk drawer full of candy for other members. It’s currently held by Todd Young from Indiana.
