One of the best players in program history is returning to the UW Green Bay Phoenix team. Rahman Fletcher has been hired by new Head Coach Sundance Wicks to be GB’s Director of Player Development. When Fletcher’s career with the Phoenix ended in 2011, he was the program’s sixth leading scorer all time with 1, 678 points. He finished fourth in steals and fifth in games played. After an NBA tryout with the Milwaukee Bucks, Fletcher went on to play professional in Great Britain and he had an outstanding career. He was twice named the British Basketball League’s Most Valuable Player and was a part of nine BBL Championships with a couple of different teams.
