(Reuters) – Russia’s Progress MS-21 space cargo ship that was undocked from the International Space Station and sank in the Pacific was likely damaged by external impact, Russia’s Roscosmos space agency said on Monday.
“According to preliminary data … the Progress MS-21 .. was caused by external impact,” Roscosmos said on the Telegram messaging platform.
The agency added that photographs showed holes in the ship of around 12 millimetres (0.47 inch).
