It’s a source of great entertainment for us on the show, as the number of times that I have given out this recipe over the air is approaching the thousands, but every week, without fail, there are a handful of folks who text in, asking for the deets.
I have blogged about this before, but cannot, for the life of me, locate it. So in a fit of irony, I now find myself in the same “where is that recipe?” headspace as everyone who has ever texted in . LOL
So here we go… Let’s do this together.
This is, hands-down, the easiest sloppy Joe recipe ever, and it is our family’s favorite.
- Brown 2 pounds of ground beef
- Drain off the fat (or leave it in there if you like it extra sloppy)
- Stir in one can of condensed tomato soup, one can of condensed French onion soup, and one small can of tomato paste
- Simmer for as long as you’d like to desired thickness
You do not need to season anything – the sodium and seasonings in the soup are all you need. If you’d like to control that better on the back end, go with low sodium soup varieties and season to taste.
That’s it. From the Vitrano test kitchen to yours…enjoy!
