APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A felony warrant has been issued for a convicted child sex offender from Appleton, last spotted in the Green Bay area.
Appleton police say they are looking for 51-year-old Paul P. Schmidt. He has a warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for absconding probation.
Schmidt is currently on supervision for two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child.
Schmidt is described as a white man, approximately 5’08” weighing 193 lbs. with blue eyes and brown hair.
He is possibly driving a red 2013 Kia Optima sedan with Wisconsin license plat number ARJ5907.
Investigators say they received information that he may be headed toward the northern part of the state.
If you locate Schmidt or his vehicle, do not approach. Contact local law enforcement immediately.
