It was simply one of those nights for the Milwaukee Bucks. Nothing went right as the Bucks were overwhelmed by the Memphis Grizzlies Thursday night 142-101. Hard to believe but it wasn’t even that close. Missing shots from the start (Khris Middleton would go 1 for 12 from the floor), allowed an energetic Memphis team to get on the break and run. When they started knocking ’em down, things got out of hand quickly. The Bucks trailed by 15 after the opening quarter, it was a 29 point deficit by halftime and early in the 4th quarter, Milwaukee was down by as many as 50 points. The Grizzlies had 8 players in double figures, led by All-Star guard Ja Morant who put up a 25 point triple double. Memphis is no slouch mind you, at 19-9, they have the top record in the NBA’s Western Conference. But it was the Bucks who just had no answer. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis each put up 19 points as the Bucks fell to 20-8 on the year, a game and a half back of Boston in the East. The Bucks hope to bounce back Saturday night when they host the Utah Jazz at Fiserv Forum.
