US Air Force Technical Sgt. Kenneth O’Brien has quite a resume of being directly involved in saving people’s lives.
He was the American that was furthest along in the caves last year saving the team of Thai soccer players.
So he was recently on his way to receive a medal for his heroism, when on the flight, a baby that was near him started choking.
After a different passenger had failed to clear the 1-year-old’s airway, Sgt. O’Brien stepped in and performed CPR and back thrusts. He saved the child and continued to check on the youngster during the flight.
