CARLTON, WI (WTAQ) — An 11-year-old girl is lucky to be alive after being run over by a truck at a Kewaunee County campground. It happened at the Maple View Campground in the township of Carlton.
Sheriff Matt Joski says when deputies arrived, the girl was trapped.
“She was under the undercarriage, the weight of the vehicle wasn’t on her,” Joski told WTAQ.
She still had to be extricated and taken to t a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Joski said it could have been a lot worse.
“It could have been so much worse, luckily, the vehicle stopped immediately,” he said.
Bradley Zeman, 39, of Manitowoc was arrested for OWI third offense and causing injury while operating under the influence.
