GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Wisconsin Public Service says about 60,000 customers have been affected by Wednesday’s storms.
The Green Bay, Stevens Point and Wausaukee areas were among those hardest hit by the storms.
Crews say they’ve received more than 800 reports of downed trees, downed power lines and trees falling into its equipment.

All available crews will be working around the clock to restore power to customers affected by the storms. WPS is also are working to bring in additional outside crews to assist in making repairs as safely and quickly as possible.
Customers are strongly urged to stay at least 25 feet away from any downed power lines they encounter and report any downed lines to WPS or a local law enforcement agency immediately.
