GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A competency exam has been ordered for the woman accused of decapitating and dismembering a Green Bay man.
Taylor Schabusiness, 24 is charged with the February 22nd killing of Shad Thyrion at a home on Green Bay’s west side.
Her attorney requested the competency exam, saying based on his conversations with her he questions if Schabusiness understands the court proceedings and can assist in her own defense.
The results will be reviewed April 4th.
Schabusiness is accused of strangling Thyrion to death during a sexual encounter.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a residence on Stony Brook early in the morning of Feb. 23. There, police found a severed head inside a bucket in the basement.
Schabusiness said she and the victim were using drugs and engaging in sexual play, and the man was strangled. She then sexually abused him, dismembered the body, and placed body parts in various locations in the home and a vehicle, the criminal complaint states.
