MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One person died and another was hospitalized as a result of a crash Friday morning in Manitowoc County.
First responders were called to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of state highways 32 and 57 shortly after 9:45 a.m.
Preliminary investigation found that a 24-year-old Sheboygan man was heading south on highways 32 and 57. He failed to stop at a stop sign, and his jeep collided with a truck driven by a 21-year-old New Holstein woman.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An infant passenger in the truck did not appear to be injured, sheriff’s officials say.
