NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Classes in the Neenah Joint School District are canceled Tuesday because of what the district calls a technology systems outage.
District officials say the situation “involves possible unauthorized access to the school data system” and caused an outage of internet, phone systems and several software applications district-wide.
The district has contacted local and federal law enforcement, along with cyber security experts, to begin an investigation. There is currently no reason to believe any confidential or personal information has been compromised, the district says.
Officials hope to have phones and some systems restored for a return to school on Wednesday. Students are likely to work without digital resources, with limitations possibly extending into next week.
