FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ) – The Fox Crossing Police Department is choosing their next chief from their own ranks. Captain Scott Blashka has been promoted to take over as the next police chief.
Blashka will replace police chief Tim Seaver, who will retire on October 15, 2021, after 35 years in law enforcement. Blashka brings 27 years of law
enforcement experience to this role and will take over the leadership of a team of 33, including 28 sworn officers.
Blashka received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and has also completed the Criminal Justice Executive Development Institute at Fox Valley Technical College. Throughout his career, Blashka has held several leadership roles to include field training officer, field training supervisor, Defensive and Arrest Tactics (DAAT) Instructor, Patrol Lieutenant, Lieutenant of Investigations, and most recently, Captain of the team of Lieutenants and civilian staff. Blashka has also successfully managed and implemented several technical advancements within the department throughout his career.
Blashka will be sworn in on Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Village of Fox Crossing Board Meeting.
