GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Improperly discarded smoking materials are being blamed for an evening Green Bay house fire.
Green Bay Metro Firefighters say they arrived at 1493 Elm Street at around 9:43 pm Thursday night to find flames and smoke coming from a second level deck on the home’s rear that had extended to the siding and roof.
The fire was put out quickly and all residents and pets escaped, however one resident was transported to the hospital with difficult breathing.
