GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Brown County Health Department says their Mobile Vaccine Clinic has been a huge success so far.
They started out in early June, operating out of a specially wrapped Green Bay Metro Transit bus.
“The mobile clinic made sense for us,” said Stephanie Smith, the county’s Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. “With the opportunity to bring vaccine to people who may not have access to it.”
They’ve brought it out to a number of community events and private functions so far.
In some places, vaccinators are going door-to-door in an effort to encourage vaccination.
“The door-to-door conversation came up, but we aren’t at that point yet,” said Smith. “We’re just kind of sticking to our guns here.”
Door-to-door vaccination was proposed by President Joe Biden and will soon be underway in some communities in Milwaukee.
