(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers opened their final series before the MLB All-Star break with a 5-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Thursday.
Avisail Garcia snapped a 3-3 tie for the Brewers in the eighth inning with a 2-run home run.
After the game, Garcia talked about the importance of these games against the Reds.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell said that Garcia is a person who can carry a team.
Counsell also said that everyone is taking turns stepping up to help.
Devin Williams got the win last night with 1 inning of perfect relief. Josh Hader picked up the save.
Brad Brach took the loss for Cincinnati.
