APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton officers arrested a man after investigating a report of false imprisonment.
Around 4 a.m. Monday, police say they received a report of a female that was being held against her will and had been physically assaulted at a residence in the 1200 block of W. Lorain St.
Based on the information, officers went to the residence and found a man and a female inside.
Police say 43-year-old Curtis E. Meyer was taken into custody on recommended charges of false imprisonment and battery.
No formal charges have been filed.
The female was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for her non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities say they are still working to determine the nature of the relationship between Meyer and the female.
