APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Theda Care will soon be starting the next phase of construction on it’s new Appleton facility.
Crews signed and put the final beam in place of what will become the Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Center.
The facility is expected to cost $144 million. It will have a specialty hospital, a warm-therapy pool and a simulation apartment for recovery.
ThedaCare President and CEO Imran Andrabi tells FOX 11…
“The entire building, as I’ve said many times before, has been designed with the patients in mind and the families in mind. So not only is this about taking care of the community today, but taking care of the community for the next 25-50 years.”
It’s expected to create 75 health care jobs, as well as 200 construction jobs.
Officials say it will open sometime in 2022.
