(WNFL) – Avisail Garcia drove in five runs and the Milwaukee Brewers put down a late comeback to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 9-5 in St. Louis Saturday afternoon.
Garcia drove in the runs with a two-run home run, a double and a bases-loaded walk against the Cardinals.
Keston Hiura added a three-run home run.
The Brewers built a 9-2 lead until St. Louis rallied for three runs in the eighth off reliever Josh Lindblom on Austin Dean’s three-run home run.
Adrian Houser started and went five innings for Milwaukee, allowing an unearned run on six hits and four walks. He struck out three.
Carlos Martinez started and took the loss for the Cardinals. He allowed three runs on eight hits over five innings.
