(UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN ATHLETICS COMMUNICATIONS) CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The top-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team remains undefeated on the season after downing Illinois, 27-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-12 on Saturday afternoon.
– Wisconsin improves to 4-0 on the season while Illinois falls to 2-2. The Badgers lost their first set of the season, falling to Illinois in the third set.
– Three Badgers tallied double-figure kills – Grace Loberg (14), Molly Haggerty (11) and Dana Rettke (10).
– UW hit better than .300 for the fourth time this season. The Badgers hit .333 (55 kills – 14 errors – 123 attempts) as a team. Illinois hit an opponent season high .202 (48-22-129)
– Wisconsin outblocked the Illini 8-7 behind four blocks from Danielle hart.
– Both team finished with 47 digs as the Badgers were led by libero Lauren Barnes with 20.
