GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — If you’re in the mood to shop local, the Downtown Green Bay Farmer’s Market is giving you another chance to do so this year.
Three of them, in fact.
The Saturday farmer’s market in downtown Green Bay will run for three more Saturday’s in November, ending on the 21st. Kathryn Kroll is with Downtown Green Bay and says despite everything, it’s been a good season.
“Obviously attendance has been down, and for good reason,” Kroll told WTAQ. “There’s no way we could have accommodated the crowds we were used to.”
The market has been averaging about 3,000 attendees a weekend.
“It’s super great to see everyone pitching in to help out these local farmers,” Kroll said Thursday.
There are many pandemic plans in place at the market, from sanitizing stations to controlled entry and exit points and a mask policy. There are only food vendors at this year’s market.
This weekend in particular should be a good one for fresh bread, produce, and cheese, given the unseasonably warm weather in the forecast.
