A few weeks ago our friends from the Resch Center reached out to us for an opportunity for Brody from Monster Jam and Love Your Melon. He got to spend the day with some of his Monster Jam favorites!
We started the day with meeting the UWGB Love Your Melon Crew for lunch at one of his favorite places. He was smitten with these ladies!
We then ventured over to the Resch Center to meet the Monster Jam crew and play on the trucks! We also took advantage of the opportunity to meet another family going through the same struggle, but at the beginning of their journey. It felt great to be able to reach out, give someone insight into what their days ahead look alike, and to be with someone who just gets it. To understand you are living life day to day, minute by minute…and to understand that you are just trying to breathe- their isn’t much room or time for anything else. This offered a distraction in a safe place for these kids and their families. We also hope we offered some hope- Brody is proof that miracles happen every day. A year ago at this time we were stage IV cancer- today look at him!
