(LEARFIELD) – Packers defenders will be led by the NFC defensive player of the month when they try to put the brakes on the Patriots Sunday.
New England is a three-point favorite.
NBC reports that third-year safety Evan Williams was honored after contributing 41 tackles, four passes defended, two interceptions, a sack, and a fumble recovery during October.
Williams has 71 tackles in eight games, to go with six passes defensed, and two interceptions.
Century mark up next for Love: Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about how Jordan Love’s next TD pass will be the 100th of his career.
LaFleur said that Love is living up to the high standards of playing quarterback in Green Bay.
On the defensive side, LaFleur was asked why have the Packers been able to take the ball away so well (2nd in the NFL with 15 takeaways).
New England’s defense: LaFleur noted that New England’s defensive tackle Christian Barmore and the rest of the Patriots defensive front is a talented bunch.
He also talked about Patriots linebacker Elijah Ponder.
The Packers and Patriots are scheduled to kickoff at 3:25 Sunday afternoon.
