Two men in North Carolina took high-tech couch potatoing to a whole new level after being pulled over for cruising down a Charlotte street on a sofa mounted on two e-scooters.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department encountered the makeshift motorized couch navigating South Tryon Street. While police openly admitted to appreciating the engineering and creativity behind the motorized living room furniture, they couldn’t let it slide. Sharing a photo of the bizarre vehicle on Instagram, the department reminded residents to prioritize road safety before taking custom, non-street-legal inventions out into city traffic.
