(247NEWSSOURCE/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers are advancing to the National League Championship Series for a second straight season.
The team silenced the Padres 3-1 from San Diego.
Sal Frelick put the Brewers up 1-0 in the third with a run-scoring single before Fernando Tatis Jr. tied it with a home run in the bottom half of the inning.
Jackson Chourio singled home the game-winning run in the fifth with Frelick’s sacrifice fly in the sixth making it 3-1.
Murphy said the playoffs are unlike anything during the regular season.
Robert Gasser gave up the lone run on three hits over four innings.
