(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Bucks opened the preseason with a 116 to 97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night at Fiserv Forum.
Despite the defeat, there were some bright spots for Milwaukee’s revamped roster.
Ryan Rollins led the Bucks with 15 points despite playing just 14 minutes, while Kel’el Ware recorded a double-double and showed promise.
Bucks guard Brayden Burries made his debut and had to guard LaMelo Ball. Burries talked about what that was like.
Burries finished with 7 points.
Nate Ament who scored 8 points in 13 minutes talked about what coach Taylor Jenkins has had him working on.
The Bucks struggled offensively early, shooting just 6-for-28 in the first quarter, and couldn’t recover after Minnesota built a double-digit lead.
Milwaukee continues its preseason schedule on Wednesday when they play at Oklahoma City against the Thunder.
