GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A judge rejected a proposed order to permanently seal evidence in the case against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs while he reviews the issue.
Jacobs was convicted last week of misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property for an incident at a Hobart home involving his ex-girlfriend.
She has petitioned the court to seal evidence in the case, including video of the incident.
A hearing on the issue is scheduled for next Thursday.
However, today Judge Marc Hammer filed a notice the motion to seal was declined.
The NFL and media outlets have requested the video. The NFL wants to use it in its investigation of possible violations of personal conduct policy. Jacobs is currently on the commissioner’s exempt list and cannot practice or play.
