(LEARFIELD) – The Chicago Cubs jumped out on top, building a three-run lead, then the Brewers owned Tuesday’s game the rest of the way, winning 9-4.
Christian Yelich and Joey Ortiz had home runs and Antonio Senzatela claimed the victory in relief.
Yelich talked about the win.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that he talked with Yelich before the game to both encourage him and challenge him.
After giving up 17 runs and 20 hits Monday, the Cubs were held to a half-dozen hits Tuesday.
Murphy talked about winning after Monday’s blowout loss.
Milwaukee’s starter for the Wednesday game will be Jacob Misiorowski. Misiorowski is 14-5 with a 1.73 ERA.
The Cubs will counter with David Peterson who is 7-7 with a 5.11 ERA.
