BEIJING, Aug 25 (Reuters) – China’s Tiangong Ultra humanoid robot ran 100 metres in 8.86 seconds in a semifinal at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing on Tuesday, improving on the 9.39-second time it set in an opening day heat.
The robot, developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Centre, extended its lead over the 9.58-second men’s world record set by Usain Bolt in 2009.
