(LEARFIELD) – The Seattle Mariners built a seven-run lead after two innings, then watched the Milwaukee Brewers chip away for the rest of the game.
The Mariners eventually prevailed 7-5 to even the series at American Family Field.
Dustin May gave up all seven runs over the first 2 innings and took the loss.
May talked about the loss.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about May’s start.

Jackson Chourio had three hits and shortstop Joey Ortiz hit his seventh homer and drove in four runs.
Despite the loss, the Brewers maintained their 4 1/2 game lead over the Chicago Cubs who lost 3-0 to the Chicago White Sox.
The Brewers also lead the LA Dodgers by 1 1/2 games and the Atlanta Braves by 4 games in the race for the best record in the National League.
Robert Gasser starts the rubber game of the three-game series this afternoon. Gasser is 3-5 with a 4.54 ERA.
Seattle will counter with George Kirby who is 8-9 with a 3.89 ERA.
