(247NEWSSOURCE) – The reigning NBA champion New York Knicks will help tip off the upcoming season.
Several marquee games – none of which include the Milwaukee Bucks – were unveiled by the league, including an Opening Night tripleheader that’ll be headlined by the Knicks raising their championship banner before hosting LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The slate on October 20th also includes the Detroit Pistons hosting the Boston Celtics before the Oklahoma City Thunder renew their rivalry with the San Antonio Spurs.
New York will also be in action on Christmas Day, hosting the Spurs in an NBA Finals rematch, followed by the Celtics hosting the Miami Heat, the Sixers visiting the Los Angeles Lakers, the Minnesota Timberwolves hosting Oklahoma City, and the Denver Nuggets taking on the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco.
