BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Pittsfield will appeal a ruling allowing Howard to annex nearly 40 acres of land, according to a court filing Monday.
The town of Pittsfield filed suit against the village of Howard in September, claiming the village’s planned annexation of 39.9 acres near County Highway U was illegal, as it was too far from village borders.
Last week, a Brown County ruled in Howard’s favor, dismissing the lawsuit.
Pittsfield filed its intent to appeal Monday, court records show.
No briefs have been filed explaining the basis for the appeal, however.
