MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Suspended Marinette High School principal Justin Bardowski pleaded not guilty Monday to two misdemeanor counts for a domestic violence incident in 2022.
Bardowski, 41, faces battery and disorderly conduct counts. No trial date was set. He returns to court Aug. 11 for a status conference, court records show.
In January, Bardowski was placed on leave from his position as Marinette High School principal due to a “law enforcement investigation.”
According to the criminal complaint, his girlfriend detailed a series of physical abuse incidents inflicted by Bardowski. The assaults included being hit in the face, neck and arm. The charges are for incidents on Oct. 1-2, 2022, at a hotel.
The complaint does not contain comments from Bardowski.
Bardowski also faces charges in Michigan for a separate incident.
The school district placed Bardowski on administrative leave.
