OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man was sentenced to five years in prison Friday for a shooting in Oshkosh.
Vautrell Section, 18, will also spend five years on extended supervision.
Section pleaded no contest in March to a count of first-degree recklessly endangering safety — which was reduced from an attempted homicide charge — and two other counts for the August 2025 incident.
According to the Oshkosh Police Department, officers received reports of gunfire in the area of Central St. and W. Irving Ave. After canvassing the area, authorities found the victim, a 20-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to his arm. Police determined the shooting took place in the 600 block of Franklin Street.
