MENOMINEE, Mich. (WTAQ-WLUK) — Days after suspended Marinette High School principal Justin Bardowski was charged with battery in Wisconsin, Michigan prosecutors filed a domestic violence count against him.
Bardowski was charged in Marinette County with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct counts for a 2022 incident involving his girlfriend. A May 18 initial appearance is scheduled.
Records for the 95A District Court in Menominee show the misdemeanor domestic violence count was filed Wednesday for a May, 2022 incident. No hearings are currently scheduled.
Bardowski was placed on administrative leave from the school district in January, when the law enforcement investigation was revealed.
