Residents in a quiet Temecula, California, neighborhood got the surprise of a lifetime on Saturday, April 18, 2026, when a massive hot air balloon carrying 13 people touched down perfectly in a suburban backyard!
Homeowner Hunter Perrin was inside watching TV while his wife, Jenna, was doing yoga, completely unaware of the spectacle unfolding behind their house until a neighbor knocked on the door to alert them. When Hunter opened his sliding glass door, he was met with a basket full of passengers staring back at him from a grassy patch just 10 feet wide. The pilot of the “Magical Adventure” balloon made the split-second decision to land after a sudden shift in weather caused the winds to die down and fuel levels to become a concern.
