Melanie Curtis and Bob Hespen, a couple from Illinois, officially tied the knot at the world’s largest Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, Tennessee, this past weekend!
Bob says the idea originally started as a joke while they were planning a road trip through the Smoky Mountains. However, Melanie, a fellow “Buc-ee’s superfan,” instantly loved the idea! They realized they didn’t want to spend tens of thousands on a traditional wedding and were overwhelmed by the logistics of eloping. So, they posted an ad online for an officiant and chose New Market Fire Captain Sammy Solomon, who met them right in front of the iconic Bucky the Beaver statue.
The ceremony lasted three minutes, and after the quick exchange of vows, they headed inside to celebrate with some brisket sandwiches and fountain drinks!
