Costco is turning heads this spring with a massive, 10-pound solid chocolate Easter bunny named Pete that stands nearly two feet tall and retails for a whopping $139.99.
While the price tag is enough to give anyone sugar shock, the real viral sensation is the “instruction manual” for eating him. Because Pete is too thick to bite and too solid to break by hand, Costco recommends a “smash-to-eat” method: buyers are instructed to wrap the bunny in a clean towel and shatter it into manageable shards using a hammer, mallet, or rolling pin. For those who prefer a more surgical approach, the packaging suggests using a heated knife to carefully slice through the milk, dark, and white chocolate layers.
