Before Green Bay takes center stage for the NFL Draft, the city is making sure itโs looking its best- literally! On April 22, just days before the big event, AmeriCorps, city leaders, and 325 volunteers will team up for a massive Earth Day cleanup at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. They plan to tackle four major projects:
-
Trail Maintenance โ Revamping trails, repairing flood damage, and adding mulch for better accessibility.
-
Park System Cleanup โ Clearing debris from major parks (including near Lambeau Field) and conducting shoreline cleanups.
-
Habitat Restoration & Invasive Species Removal โ Hand-pulling invasive species to restore natural habitats.
-
Tree Planting โ Planting nearly 100 trees at the Wildlife Sanctuary and Perkins Park in celebration of Arbor Day.
With $18,000 in funding and more donations rolling in, theyโll be tackling parks, trails, and shorelines to give Green Bay a fresh glow-up. Want in? Pre-register online before spots fill up!
