A Shanghai designer turned an ordinary mountain into China’s newest tourist hotspot with a single photo.
Guo Qingshan, while on a hike visiting his home town, shared a vacation snapshot of a mountain in Yichang, Hubei, that looks like a dog’s head resting near the Yangtze River. Calling it “Puppy Mountain,” he sparked a social media frenzy, with his post gaining 120,000 likes and millions of views on Weibo.
Dog owners compared their pets to the mountain, while tourists rushed to see it—some even bringing their dogs for photos. Many locals realized they had seen it before but never noticed the resemblance.
Thanks to Guo’s keen eye, Puppy Mountain is now a viral must-see!
