(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers are back in the playoffs for the fifth time in 6 seasons after shutting out the New Orleans Saints 34-0 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay Monday night.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that the playoff spot is great but there is more to do.
LaFleur said the team is trending in the right direction.
And about the defense? The one that pitched the first shutout by any team in the NFL this season and held the Saints to 196 yards of offense? LaFleur had praise for them, too.
As for the offense? It’s not 5 games in a row with 30 or more points.
Quarterback Jordan Love likes the way the offense is headed as well.
Love liked what the defense did as well.
Next up for the Packers is a date with the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. That game has been changed from a noon kickoff to 3:25 p.m.
