STEPHENSON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he shot his wife in Marinette County.
At 5:13 p.m. Sunday, dispatch received a call from a man who stated he shot his wife several times at an address on S. 5th Street in the town of Stephenson.
The woman, identified as Erica Noble of Crivitz, was taken away from the scene by another party. She later died from her injuries.
Officers, the Marinette County Special Response Team, Crisis Negotiations and the Drone Team responded to the scene and established a perimeter around the residence.
It was reported the suspect, Troy Noble, was still inside and armed.
Officers tried to contact Noble, but they were unsuccessful.
During the incident, Noble exited the residence and died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The case remains under investigation.
