NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A fire inside a Neenah business caused about $200,000 worth of damage.
Crews responded to a structure fire on Appleblossom Drive just after 5:30 p.m. Monday.
When firefighters arrived, employees had safely evacuated and black smoke was coming from the roof of the building.
The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to a single piece of machinery.
The building was equipped with both an automatic sprinkler system and a fire alarm system. The alarm system operated as designed, however the building’s sprinkler system did not activate as the fire was completely contained inside the machine.
The fire was determined to be accidental and not intentional.
No one was hurt.
