Three of the following are FACTS…one is a FIB (scroll down & find out which one!)
1. Donald Sutherland played a character named Homer Simpson in a movie called “The Day of the Locust” in 1975…which is where Matt Groening, the Simpson’s created, got the name for his show.
2. The average professional baseball player has 20/12 vision, which is much better than most other people . . . and obviously they need it to see 90 and 100 mile-per-hour fastballs.
3. Tennis got its name in the 1200s from the old French word “tenez,” which means “receive.” People used to shout that before they served.
4. Chris Rock was reportedly considered for the part of George on “Seinfeld”. He later said they made “the right choice” in going with Jason Alexander.
AND THE FIB IS…

Donald Sutherland played a character named Homer Simpson in a movie called “The Day of the Locust” in 1975. It’s just a coincidence though . . . Matt Groening’s father was named Homer, and that’s how he picked the name.
