(WNFL) MILWAUKEE – West De Pere Phantoms couldn’t find the back of the net in Saturday’s WIAA Division 2 state soccer championship at Uihlein Soccer Park.
Union Grove’s Owen Zikowski scored off an assist from Ethan Barsch in the 29th minute for the games only goal.
Barsch chipped the ball ahead to Zikowski who drove the ball to the right post into the goal.
West De Pere (18-4-2) was outshot 13-4 in the contest.
Ben Woller had 4 saves for West De Pere.
Division 4
Brayden Van de Water scored Shoreland Lutheran’s first goal and assisted on Owen Hahm’s second half goal to lead them to the 2-0 win over St. Mary Catholic.
St. Mary Catholic was outshot 11-9 in the contest.
Hunter Schreiber had 2 saves for St. Mary Catholic which finished its season with a 21-2-0 record.
Connor Hahm had 4 saves for Shoreland Lutheran.
